Terms of Use

In short: be 13 or older (16+ in the EU and UK), use characters you have the right to use, follow the content policy, and you own what you write. Plus can be cancelled any time; a Scene Pass is a one-time purchase. Under-18s can use the free tier but can't buy.

1. Who can use Castfic

You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 in the European Union, the EEA and the UK. If you are under 18 you may use the free tier with a parent or guardian's permission; paid plans are for adults only.

2. Your characters and fan characters

Castfic is made for your own characters and for non-commercial fan fiction. You may write your own version of a character from a book, show or game, but you must not paste text you don't own (scripts, chapters, official bios) or upload official art. Characters owned by Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Nintendo or Pokémon can't be used, because those rights holders don't allow AI fan fiction. We don't provide canon characters, official art or fandom pages, and nothing on Castfic is endorsed by any rights holder. Rights holders can use our DMCA process.

3. Content rules

Castfic is all-ages. You agree not to use it to create sexual content, anything sexualising minors, graphic violence, hate or harassment, content about real private people, or real-world harmful instructions — and not to try to get around our filters. The full list is in the Safety & Content Policy. We may stop a scene, remove a shared page or close an account that breaks these rules.

Mature themes (adults only)

Signed-in adults (18+) can turn on Mature themes in their account. It allows darker drama — cruelty, grief, betrayal, non-graphic violence and character death — and adult romance where intimate moments fade out. It never allows explicit sexual content, graphic gore or anything involving characters under 18, and it switches off automatically for any cast with teenage characters. Mature scenes can't be listed in the public gallery, remixed or played with friends, and their share links show an 18+ notice first.

4. Your scenes

You own your characters and the text you write and, to the extent the law allows, the scenes and rewrites generated for you. You give us the limited permission we need to store, display and process them to run the service, and to show the ones you choose to share at their link. AI output can be similar for different writers, so we can't promise any scene is unique.

5. AI limits

Scenes are fiction written by AI and can be wrong, strange or inconsistent. Castfic is a writing tool — not a person, not a companion, and not advice.

6. Plans and payments

  • Free: 1 scene without an account, then 1 scene a day after signing in with Google, plus the Daily Scene.
  • Scene Pass ($4.99): a one-time purchase of 15 scenes, valid for 12 months. Not a subscription.
  • Plus ($7.99/month or $59/year): a subscription billed through Stripe that renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time from My account and keep access until the end of the paid period. A fair-use monthly limit of 80 scenes applies.
  • If a scene fails to generate, it is refunded automatically. For any other payment problem email us within 14 days. Your statutory rights (including EU withdrawal rights) are not affected.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Castfic running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change features, limits or prices; subscription price changes apply from your next billing period, with notice.

8. Liability

Castfic is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
