How to move your characters from a chat app into a Castfic scene
- Write each character a short card: name, how they talk, what they want, and one secret. Or import a SillyTavern card.
- Pick a trope scene such as found family or locked in a room, and add 2 to 4 characters.
- Press play and watch the script appear. Pause to add narration, pick who speaks next or choose a branch.
- Rewrite the finished scene as prose or a screenplay, then save the memory to each card.

Can I bring my Character.AI characters over?
Character.AI does not export character cards, so paste the description, a few sample lines and a secret into a new Castfic card. SillyTavern cards (PNG or JSON) can be imported directly.
Is Castfic a chat app?
No. You do not talk to one character. You set a scene, the characters talk to each other, and you direct. The aim is a finished scene you can keep or rewrite.
Do my characters remember each other?
Yes. After each scene a memory is written to every card and used in the next one. You can edit the notes.
Can teens use it?
Yes, from age 13. Castfic is all-ages with input and output filters. Users aged 13 to 17 can play the free scenes but cannot pay.
