In short: Castfic is built for writers' own characters and non-commercial fan fiction; writers confirm they won't paste text or art they don't own. If you believe a shared scene infringes your copyright, email hello@castfic.com with the details below and we will remove it, usually within 2 business days.

What we host

Scenes are private by default. Only scenes a writer chooses to share get a public link, and shared pages are not listed in search engines. We do not provide canon characters, official art or fandom pages, we block characters from rights holders who don't allow AI fan fiction, and our Terms forbid uploading characters or text the writer doesn't have the right to use.

Sending a notice

Please include:

  1. The work you believe is infringed (title, and a link if it is online).
  2. The link(s) to the Castfic page(s) — for example https://castfic.com/s/…/.
  3. Your name, address, phone and email.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next

  • We disable the page and tell the writer who shared it.
  • The writer can send a counter-notice if they believe it was removed by mistake; we forward it to you and may restore the page after 10–14 business days unless you tell us you have filed a court action.
  • Accounts that repeatedly share infringing material are closed.
