Frequently asked questions
What is free?
1 full scene without an account, then 1 scene every day after signing in with Google, plus the Daily Scene. Rewrites to prose or screenplay and Markdown/Fountain export are free too. No card needed.
What counts as a scene?
One cast in one setting, played for 8 rounds until the ending beat. Directing, suggested directions, redoing a round and up to 6 rewrites of that scene are all included — they don't use another scene.
How does the Scene Pass work?
$4.99 once for 15 scenes, valid 12 months. They are used only after your free daily scene. No subscription, nothing renews.
What do I get with Plus?
80 scenes and 20 polished rewrites a month on our best writing model, 50 memories per character and 200 saved characters. $7.99/month or $59/year ($4.92/month).
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time from My account → Manage subscription. You keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.
Can teens use it?
Castfic is for ages 13+ (16+ in the EU and UK) and every plan is the same all-ages experience. Under-18s can use the free plan but can't buy.
